The main instalation

The main installation of the pavilion is made up of over 50 pillars animated through an inner kinetic skeleton to resemble deep sea vegetation. The pillars also receive video art projections, changing the atmosphere and color of the space as the video progresses. The video art is a translation of marine life into an abstract artistic world that enhances the sense of mystery, contributing to the visitor’s sense of wonder from the natural world.

In designing the space, the designers worked hard to provide visitors with a sense of wonder from the amazing, unfamiliar, alien world of the sea while providing a platform for the portrayal of Israeli tech and science. All this, from a moral conception of compassion, wonder and caring towards the natural world, animals, and the sea, as an Israeli and Jewish value as expressed in the Hebrew bible.

The secondary space around the main installation exposes the visitor to glass screens and diverse multimedia platforms communicating  the variety of Israeli activities in the field of ecology, preservation and the sea life.
